I got this Mike & Chris dress at a sample sale ages ago.  It’s reminiscent of Lauren Hutton’s style circa the 70′s, no?  I was pretty bummed when the placket ripped off, but the sample maker at work fixed it up like brand new.  P says it pays to have connections.

This messenger is my first new bag in years.  I absolutely love how I haven’t seen anyone else wearing one.  It’s all mine . . . hmph!

Off to take a mini break to see my long lost Austin girls.  I’m excited and nervous, but mostly excited!

My friend, H has always been really supportive of EXTRASKINNY.  So when she suggested a collaborative project, I was ecstatic.  Here is one of two Mike & Chris dresses she lent me to pull together a look.  I used layers, but sparingly so that I could show off the cool skirt shape.  I’m not sure if the outfit is her style, but hope she likes it nonetheless!

Moustache Man and I are moving out in a week, so I’ve been a bit distracted.  Packing and unpacking is the pits, but I want to get it over with so we can finally get settled!

Just got back from a wedding in Florida.  A bit of sun, familial bonding and delicious eats made it the best trip ever.  Weddings always make me a bit teary-eyed much to my embarrassment.  I’m the same way with movies.  I cried at the end of Jack (Robin Williams plays a kid that pro-generately ages, you can guess the ending) and my mom caught me in the act only to laugh.  Ha, ha, ha.  It only proves that I’m not dead inside.  Man on Wire inspired me to attempt new heights by balancing on this narrow concrete slab while making sultry (surly?) faces for the camera.  The sun helps me do this via squinty eye-effect.

Here’s the more risqué counterpart to Marionette.  In the excitement of receiving my Wolford Moulin Rouge tights, I put this outfit together.  I’m not sure where I would wear the ensemble, but I get the feeling dancing may be involved.  Itchi Gitchi Ya Ya Da Da.

Mike & Chris were working with a lot of silk charmeuse last season and I managed to pick up this Asburn dress with the silk turned inside out.  Meaning they opted to use the matte face instead of the shiny.  It’s on sale at revolveclothing.com in navy and available at emoda.com in rust.  The rust is a beautiful color (don’t mind the online photos), but silly emoda hasn’t put the dress on sale yet.
