It’s been ever so summery in California this winter, so I thought I’d throw on a beanie just for pretend. I know -40 degrees and wind chill aren’t fun, but one usually expects COLD in JANUARY.
These have been my favorite pair of jeans lately. I’m still gravitating towards skinnies, but the mega cut-outs at the knee make it a little more interesting. I especially like pairing it with something clean like this popover I got in Korea.
This is the outfit I wore on my last day in Korea. I purchased the pants at Dongdaemun Market. Anything goes here and vendors sell everything from dried foods to clothing made by independent designers. Many vendors don’t allow you to try the clothes on which can be frustrating, but you’ll likely consider buying anyway due to the cheap/fair prices. Also, it’s better to wait until the afternoon to return/exchange items. Vendors consider early morning returns/exchanges bad luck and won’t be very happy with you!
I don’t own many baggy pants, unless they are drop crotch or boyfriend jeans, but for some reason I was drawn to these slouchy fatigues. This fit can be unflattering, so I paired it with something slimmer on top to give myself some shape. Add some awesome headphones and you’ll look like you have mad game.

I now own two Junya pieces including this bomber jacket and I’m happy, but not satisfied. To tell you the truth, all my specialty purchases end up being safely tucked away in my drawer or hanging in my closet. All I can think about are the horrible things that could happen while wearing something out . . . the mesh on my new bomber could rip, my knit dress could get a snag, my bright white shirt dress could get a stain . . . it goes on, and on and on. It’s such a MAJOR bummer and I’m fed up already!
So, slowly I’m going to reintegrate my special loves into my daily life. Rips can be mended, snags can be knotted and stains can be washed out. As long as I remember that, everything will be alright.
