Here, there, everywhere and nowhere is exactly where I am.

Tell me where I’m supposed to go and I won’t listen.

Don’t tell me anything and I’ll resent it.

Escape is a part of my psyche. I need it. I crave it. No matter where I am or what I’m doing, it always lingers, either hopeful or sinister.

It’s time for the magician’s final act. Swarthy, with a painted moustache, he rolls out his clunky contraption. Behind one mirrored door, his assistant awaits.

He has many rings on his fingers, they sparkle, diversion worthy. His bedazzled sausages waggle amidst unintelligible words. She’s gone, escaped onto her next adventure.

“Drat!” he thought.  “Now I must buy another.”

Ms. Fat Booty

The funny thing is I don’t mind booty shorts, but I can’t wear booty skirts.  I believe it has to do with the crotch coverage of the former.

Moustache Man couldn’t make sense of my getting another pair of booty shorts.  They’re not all the same, as you know.  This high-waisted pair is special because it’s perfect for tucking in tops.  Usually, I’m not a tucker because of the sloppy un-tuck situation, but I think these shorts can pull it off.

Blue Belle

I try to avoid following the flock of fads churned out every season,  but I like the tights under shorts look that’s reemerged.  Something about the layering transforms the denim shorts from young-casual into sophisticated-cool.  The top is a Phillip Lim men’s tee.  I love the drapey pocket and loose fit.  Can you tell I enjoy playing with different shapes?

A Day at the Beach

Where else but California could you enjoy a beach day in December?  When you have a full day including ball play, a boardwalk stroll and meal a la side walk cafe, plan ahead.  Use accessories like shoes or jewelry pieces to upgrade your rough and tumble outfit.  And think outside of the California girl box.  Little skirts that barely cover your bottom will forever be a fashion faux pax.  Experiment with footwear and forsake the traditional flip flops for boots (not UGGs) or ballet flats.  The re-inventive results will transform you into a beach babe.
