Are you there?

I was in a shop the other day and had the worst experience with the sales people.  When I walked out of the dressing room empty handed, it was like I didn’t exist anymore.  I’ve been to higher end stores with much more grace than that.  That’s why I’ve decided to make a vow.  If I ever become a shop girl I promise not to be rude to people who simply want to try on expensive clothes, but can’t afford them.  Really, it’s a shame these horrible people are allowed to be around beautiful clothes everyday.

And I know I’ll be going to Saks if those dresses ever go on sale.  Snap, snap, snap!

I’m loving that nail polish shade, it’s so visually stimulating. Oh, and did I mention that your hair is amazing?! If I had the balls to chop my hair off and bleach it blonde, I would (also if I didn’t live under the roof of my parents). I seriously thought that you were wearing a dress too, shows how well the vest & skirt match!

I can’t believe the service at some places…it can be really disgusting.

You should go back and try on even more stuff. Just to piss them off. I would. LOL.

Just stumbled upon your blog – your haircut is very striking indeed. Ah, the nail varnish is so pretty, too.
I thought the Americans were had the service thing mastered?
I think you really ought to return and complain nicely.
Am wishing you a relaxing weekend;-)

Coolest tatoo, still loving the nails and I know what you mean. That’s actually the reason why I really dislike shopping in stores where sales people are breathing down my neck.

That reminded me of that saying- ‘If a person is nice to you but not nice to the waiter, that person is not a nice person.’
I know it’s not exactly the same thing, but still!
I’ve noticed staff in a lot of higher end shops look down their noses at anyone who doesn’t look wealthy enough to afford the goods. What if we just want to browse?!

    Justyna says:

oh i TOTALLY know what you mean!?! What is up with shopgirls turning their noses up when they’re in the same boat as every one else? If those stores didn’t gift them their wardrobes or provide them a serious discount, they wouldn’t be able to afford it either? I can’t stand snobbism like that… ugh. but your hair is fab, so there!

    bisous!

Eww thats horrid. I worked for Saks & Dior and no matter how rude the clients were to me or what their shopping purpose was I was always nice. Karma….

It often surprises me that salespeople from high-end stores don’t take their jobs seriously. Everyone is a potential customer, or knows a potential customer…bad reps are never good. There is one high-end store that I’ll not be visiting again (at least that particular location) because the salespeople were all busy chatting with each other when I needed help, stared at me when I asked for help, and went back to talk to each other before one of them finally does something.

Love your vest and leather skirt!

Your post made me feel sad for you. I’ve had the coolest sales people at the highest end places, as well as some of the worst. Keep your confidence and positive attitude and don’t let them keep you away from exploring at the higher end places.

Your blog is just too perfect for words. I guarantee you will continue to leave your mark on the world.

    Have a great weekend.

It’s incredible, when a sale assistant is rude, but the truth is that is something that happens. And it’s something that I can’t believe ):, because at the end, they loose customers!
